An experienced minister who thrives on nurturing faith in others, and seeing individuals released in their service of God and of others.
My ministry of some 25 years has been characterised by wanting to see individuals released to become the people who God created them to be. Having discovered the reality of God's love for me personally at the age of 19 I knew myself called to leave banking, and to enter ministry. It took another six years before I became a Church Army evangelist and served God by working with drugs users in the North West of England. The theme of releasing captives was one that resonated with me during this time.
I was then appointed Candidates Secretary for Church Army, helping individuals to discern God's call upon their lives, a ministry again characterised by seeing people released so as to respond to that sense of call.
During this time I qualified as a Pastoral Counsellor, studying for my Diploma at St John's College, Nottingham, and worked on a sessional basis with a counselling service in Kent. I was invited to join the staff of a large Anglican church in South East London, with responsibility for both evangelism and outreach, and for the work among children and young people. At this time I completed my Diploma studies with the Open University in Business Management.
My flair for strategic thinking, and leadership development prepared me for my next work as a Regional Consultant for another UK mission agency, where I spent 11 fulfilling years as a work and ministry consultant to church leaders.
As well as spending time as a work and ministry coach and a ministry consultant, I also serve as a part-time priest in a local Anglican church in Surrey, and am part-time Lead Chaplain for the Ashford and St Peter's NHS Foundation Trust, based at St Peter's Hospital in Chertsey.
In my sparetime I enjoy spending time in the countryside, riding my BMW R1200GS and watching Southampton FC
